Why choose?????
i know everybody is trying to figure out what i mean by that , well let me tell you all what happen yesterday . i came home after work and danielle told me that Cece's teacher called and needed to speak to me . so ok me being the mom i am , i am calling ... Hi this Mrs Ferguson Shantelles mom , hi how are you , well as we get to talking she tells me that the paper work she has is not matching the info in the school computer , i said ok what do you need updated? well her middle name first is Charlotte not Charotte,,,, now to the shocker .... when i registered my kid 3 years ago i marked Black and White in the race area , well she said its in the computer as her being White and i would have to CHOOSE, so now im here sitting on my chair thinking ,, CHOOSE????, well you all know my kids are German / American , sense that is NOT in the papers my babies are Black and White , well she said i cant do that , so what will i do???, well i said to her that i will not CHOOSE either its both or i will have to have a meeting with the principal, she told me that it will be arranged , sense there have to be only one on there ,,
so now tell me this ,, if i mark white would i be lying ??? yes because my children and others are judged by there skin color, also the teacher said something about in the future if she has black on there she would have a better chance of getting a MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP ... hello what in the world???? Cece is a straight A honor roll student and you telling me that does not even matter ,,,, great why even work so hard ... ??? ,,, So what is that YOU thinking right now ???
Like my MOM always said :" IT TAKES ONE PERSON TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE , I GUESS I WILL TRY TO GET MY POINT ACROSS....

Well here is my opinion... you CHOOSE who they already are you have answered your own question... GERMAN AMERICAN... if they are not satisfied and don't want to add that as an option to ther paperwork then you tell them to add an "other" column with a blank after so you can pencil in GERMAN AMERICAN..... just my 02 k byeee
I agreeeeeeee all the way ........... so we will see Wednesday ... when i have to see the Principal scary thought .....
